Template Improvements
Updated over a week ago

Baton has made creating templates in your workspace more intuitive and centered around accelerating repeatability to ultimately “go live” with future projects, faster and with less friction.

We’ve moved away from using sample dates in templates, placing the focus now on the working days required to complete a task from start to finish. Specifically, the template is now oriented along two important days: the day the project starts (day one), and the day the project is complete or “goes live” (a.k.a. the day the project’s final task is due). You can preview any project using either of those dates.

When configuring or deploying a template, you'll notice Timeline View is now oriented around working days instead of sample calendar days when in the Plan stage. This allows for a more clear understanding of task and project durations.

A task's start day and duration in days can be easily updated inline or by dragging/dropping individual task lines within the timeline.

From the Preview stage, users are now able to preview projects in calendar days, based either on Start Date or Due Date.
